Len Carella started working in ceramics in 1998 at Parsons School of Design in New York City midway through a 20 year career as a designer of footwear and leather goods. In February 2004 he was part of a group show at the Williamsburg Art & Historical Center in Brooklyn, New York. His hand made pieces often include leather, braided thread and recycled cork details. He currently works full-time from his San Francisco studio in high fire, cone 10 reduction in stoneware and porcelain. Creating modern ceramic ware of the highest quality is the goal of Len Carella Ceramics.
