Makers Market is proud to host monthly outdoor markets at our store locations to expand our everyday in-store offering and allow local makers to reach new customers in their neighborhood! This is another way that we are furthering our mission to Rebuild the Legacy of American Made.

MAKERS THAT WE LOOK FOR

We welcome makers, crafters, small brands, and artists, where the product is substantially crafted/produced in the USA, meaning it would be classified as "Made in the USA".  We seek makers who source US materials where possible and have played a substantial role in transforming raw materials into the final product. 

WHAT WE PROVIDE FOR MARKETS, AND WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING

ALL MARKETS

You provide:

• Your Products
• A payment method (e.g. Square) and a data plan that allows you to connect
• Displays for your products
• Shopping bags
• Jewelry boxes, if needed.
• Hand sanitizer if you are asking customers to use it
• SHADE (check each venue below to see what shade options are allowed)

AVALON - ALPHARETTA, GA

We provide:

• 10' x 10' space
• Potential use of sun screens provided by Avalon property management

You provide:

• Table(s)
• Chair(s)
• Tablecloth(s)
• Plain white 10' x 10' canopy - no exceptions!  

BROADWAY PLAZA - WALNUT CREEK, CA

We provide:

• 10' x 10' space

You provide:

• Table(s)
• Chair(s)
• Tablecloth
• White or Beige 10' x 10' canopy with canopy weights on each canopy leg  

FIRST STREET NAPA - NAPA, CA

We provide:

• Space for a 10'x10' tent, OR
• Space for a standard 6' table

If choosing a tent space, you provide:

• Tablecloth/additional display items
• (1) 6-foot table & Chair(s)
• (1) 6' or 6.5' white or beige umbrella for coverage/shade WITH WEIGHTS (YOU MUST BRING WEIGHTS)

LUMBER YARD - MILL VALLEY, CA

We provide:

• 3' x 8' space

You provide:

• Tablecloth
• (1) 6-foot table & Chair(s)
• (1) 6', 6.5', or 7' white or beige umbrella as needed for coverage/shade WITH WEIGHTS (YOU MUST BRING WEIGHTS)

OLD TOWN - LOS GATOS, CA

We provide:

• 3' x 8' space

You provide:

• Tablecloth
• (1) 6-foot table & Chair(s)
• (1) 6', 6.5', or 7' white or beige umbrella as needed for coverage/shade WITH WEIGHTS (YOU MUST BRING WEIGHTS)

SANTANA ROW - SAN JOSE, CA

We provide:

• 3' x 8' space
• More than half of our spaces are in the shade from building and trees, and we prioritize candle and other apothecary makers who are effected by the sun, in the shade first.

You provide:

• Tablecloth
• (1) 6-foot table & Chair(s) *
• (1) 6' or 6.5' white or beige umbrella for coverage/shade WITH WEIGHTS (YOU MUST BRING WEIGHTS)

* A limited number of 6-foot tables and chairs are available for your use. There is no cost but you must request them.

Note: Since each market location is different, we can’t specify just how much space a maker will have. We work with all makers to accommodate different situations and setup.

MARKETING & PROMOTIONS

We promote our markets via social media promotions, email marketing, online advertising, local publications, and local associations (including our shopping center properties) to ensure that we bring out as many shoppers as we possibly can! We ask all of our participants to also promote the markets!

BOOTH FEES and ACCEPTANCE

All booth fees are collected at the time of application. Below is a list of the markets with their specific booth fee.  Applications will be reviewed every couple of weeks and acceptance or non-acceptance will be communicated soon thereafter.  All booth fees will be FLAT FEES (no additional commission) at the rates posted below.

• Acceptance: If you are accepted, you will receive further details, including online promotional materials, the week of the market date.
• Non-Acceptance: If you are not invited to participate, your registration fee will be refunded to you, less a $25 fee for processing, handling, jurying, and management. IMPORTANT: You must submit your application and pay the booth fee to be considered for acceptance.
• Waitlist: In the event a marketplace date/venue reaches capacity, you can choose to be placed on the waitlist. A spot on the waitlist does not guarantee a space in the market. If a booth space becomes available, you will be notified immediately. If a spot does not become available, you will be notified and refunded in accordance to our Non-Acceptance policy.
  
  

CANCELLATIONS

CANCELLATION POLICY:  Due to the effort involved in jurying, placement, advertising, and turning away other potential makers, we do not offer refunds on cancellations after you have been notified of acceptance.

Weather:  All marketplaces will be held (light) rain or shine unless we call off due to severe weather or other extreme circumstances. Cancellations by Makers Market will allow participants to roll over their booth fee to a future market date/venue of the same value. Booth fees must be used in the year of the original market registration.

BUSINESS PERMITS AND REQUIREMENTS

Permits: Participating makers are responsible for being compliant with all local, state, and federal requirements regarding business licenses and seller permits. It is the responsibility of each applicant to research requirements in their area. Participating makers are also responsible to pay applicable sales/use tax for sales in each city/county market location.

Insurance: Participating makers are responsible for their own business/personal liability insurance to cover any loss, damage, liability or injury at the Makers Market marketplaces. Participating makers waive any and all claims against Makers Market and its venue partners.
