If you missed the Makers Market fair last month, I have good news: you have three more opportunities to join in the festivities and shop the beautiful, handmade wares and meet some of the makers in person. This Saturday July 9 from 11am until 6pm, head to San Jose’s Santana Row for work by local artisans, wine tasting, live music and bites. The party will be in the park across from Left Bank Brasserie. You can also catch similar festivities on August 11 and September 10.
I was there for last month’s event (there we are above, thanks to Micaela of Oh My Drifter for the photo!), and it was well worth the trek from Pacifica for a peek at beautiful jewelry from Kirsten Muenster, Corey Egan, Len Carella and Jessica Wertz ceramics, and so much more.
And even if you can’t make it to any of the events—the struggle is real when you have little ones to wrangle, I know—worry not because Maker’s Market has taken up permanent residence at Santana Row, also across from Left Bank Brasserie. Its their first brick and mortar space, and it’s worth a look if only for the amazing macrame piece hanging on the back wall. Not in the Bay Area? Perusing the website is the next best thing to shopping IRL.
