Penelope Candles

Nestled in her studio in Oakland, Calfornia, modern day sensory alchemist Christine Robertson churns out her all natural, soy wax candles made with 100 percent cotton wicks. With the intention of being a sustainable, wholesome company, each candle is made with glass that can be repurposed for multiple uses and made with safe ingredients to ensure a safe experience. Christine carefully chooses the glass she uses for her candles and suggests placing the finished candles in the freezer to remove the remaining wax. Each candle made by Penelope Candles makes is intricately thought out to smell of warmth and love, which represent her Boston Terrier, Penelope, for whom the candles are named.
