Local non-profits play a vital role in providing Makers with skill training, equipment and business support services that enable them to focus on their businesses and grow. For Makers that have an affiliation with these non-profits, as indicated on their profile, we will donate 3% of the sales proceeds to these organizations
SFMade is a California 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, established in 2010 and headquartered in San Francisco. It is the only organization of its kind focused on building San Francisco’s economic base by developing the local manufacturing sector.
SFMade’s mission is to build and support a vibrant manufacturing sector in San Francisco, that sustains companies producing locally-made products, encourages entrepreneurship and innovation, and creates employment opportunities for a diverse local workforce. The Crucible, located in Oakland, California, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit arts education organization that fosters a collaboration of arts, industry, and community. Through training in the fine and industrial arts, The Crucible promotes creative expression, reuse of materials, and innovative design, while serving as an accessible arts venue for the general public in the Bay Area.
