Ezra Arthur
In 2008, Sebastian Sandersius, founder of Ezra Arthur, started a hobby of collecting vintage shaving equipment. While rummaging through countless antique stores, he developed an appreciation for how things used to be made. At the time, he was a physics graduate student and the prospect of running his own business became more and more attractive. After he graduated, he moved to Los Angeles for a postdoctoral research fellowship at the California Institute of Technology. While living in Los Angeles he was exposed to the fashion industry and became very interested in American heritage industrialism and the resurgence of Made in USA.
"I wanted to start a fashion label that stood for the pride of quality American made consumer goods and build a company that manufactured heirloom quality men's accessories: leather goods, grooming products, watches etc. I drew an incredible amount of inspiration from the Gillette Safety Razor Co. and how they operated throughout the 20th Century."
Founded in 2012 as Bison Made, Ezra Arthur is based in Phoenix, Arizona where a small team of passionate craftsmen (and women) have been creating intricately constructed accessories for the man who prizes simplicity, heirloom quality and durability.
