Carnevale Clay

Carnevale Clay’s designs are inspired by functional objects that have been present throughout history: a plate, a spoon, a water jug–items that are timeless, clean and simple.  As the founder, Anne Carnevale traveled throughout the Mediterranean as a child, she became exposed to the world of the handmade.  The region’s architecture and artifacts awakened an artistic sensibility that has shaped her life and work.

Carnevale Clay creates sculptural vessels that are one of a kind and change from every viewpoint.  These pieces are made to be held and used to enhance life’s everyday moments.  The vessels are coil hand built, a technique that predates throwing on a wheel.  Anne believes that the simplicity of artistically building by hand stands out and the imperfections create art.
