The Start of Independence

July 4, 1776, marked one of the most important times for our beloved country! Our 13 colonies claimed independence from England. On June 11, 1776, a committee came together to draft a document to break away from Great Britain. The great men in this committee included none other than Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, John Adams, Roger Sherman and Robert R. Livingston.

The men worked all day and night to draft the perfect document that would change our country's history. The Declaration of Independence was created on July 4, 1776 and it has been the United States' symbol of liberty and what our great founding fathers have left us with. 

Now, it is a celebration of freedom, summer BBQS, fireworks, friends, and family. We celebrate this upcoming holiday and honor the flag. Let it remind us of the dedication our country has shown and be thankful for the freedom we are given.
