Labor Day happens every September. It’s the end of summer. It’s back to school time. We look forward to the three day weekend, going out of town, or barbecuing with our friends and family (socially distanced this year of course).
But how often do we think about what Labor Day actually means? Why do we really celebrate Labor Day?
Labor Day is a national holiday to honor American workers for ALL they do. All they contribute, create, provide, and achieve. This country runs because of the people that work hard to make it so. Started in 1882, Labor Day also celebrates the history of the American labor movement and all they have accomplished, including great strides in fair and safe working conditions and providing a voice for U.S. workers.
Although Labor Day may look a little different in 2020 – with socially distanced picnics and parties, or virtual celebrations – it is still an opportunity to acknowledge the incredible efforts and contributions of our American workers. As a small business that supports and promotes American artisans and American-made products, this is a day that is especially close to our hearts.
And this year, with all the challenges and acts of nature we are enduring, we want to extend an extra special thank you to the first responders that are working tirelessly to keep us safe and take good care of us in these unprecedented times. To express our tremendous gratitude and appreciation for all that you all do, and for the amazing people you are, we have a special offer just for you.
