We are excited to have Blackcreek Mercantile & Trading Co. join our maker family. Joshua Vogel, founder and creator of BCM, designs and creates beautiful wooden appliances with his small staff in their Kingston, New York studio. Vogel spent many years in the furniture and interior industry. He decided to branch off and dive deep into the idea of handmade.
He constantly encourages his employees to grow together and understand the importance of their craft. The goal of their company is to create long lasting, functional, products that you and your family can treasure in your home. Check out their products at our stores or, online!
Black Line Collection: Large board 8 x 20: The wood items in the Blackline Collection utilize a natural reactive process to give them their distinctive dark finish. No pigments are used to create this black color. This unique technique makes use of the tannic acid inherent in white oak to develop a deep, durable, food-safe dye; the source of which comes from within the wood itself.
Our next craft fair that we are hosting will be at San Pedro Square in downtown San Jose on January 20th from 10am-5pm. Come shop our San Jose craft fair of 20+ local makers (jewelers, candles, organic body, home goods, children's clothes, artwork, glass, succulents) in beautiful San Pedro Square!
