Skincare stressing you? We get it. So many products, so little face! You’re probably familiar with the basics — the humble cleanser, the must-have moisturizer (with SPF we hope), and maybe even an eye cream. But what do you know about serums? If you think they’re an unnecessary luxury, think again.
Serums are often clear, gel-based liquids formulated to penetrate your pretty face with high concentrations of active nutrients. In addition to healing properties, facial serums deliver a multitude of beauty-boosting benefits. They target wrinkles, prevent fine lines, brighten your complexion, reduce the appearance of pores, and even aid in scar repair. If your skincare routine was a three course meal, a nutrient-rich serum should be the main course.
As expected, the beauty industry is flooded with products. Depending on your individual needs, options include brightening serums, anti-aging serums, antioxidant serums to help protect your skin from free radials, and even color-correcting serums to lighten dark spots. Beyond the industry giants’ chemical-packed products, many small apothecary brands are offering all-natural facial serums packed with essential oils and other yummy organic ingredients. Step aside synthetics!
We are excited to offer the Luminescent Facial Serum by Among the Flowers which is produced frequently in small batches to avoid the need for synthetic preservatives. Not only does it illuminate your complexion, but its full menu of concentrated enzymes, vitamins and minerals, antioxidants, antimicrobial compounds, micro-biomes and beyond are hard at work to aid in cell-boosting skin regeneration for the healthiest glow on an internal level. Its botanical blend works with the natural lipid barrier of the epidermis and dermis to be highly absorbent and effective.
AMONG THE FLOWERS LUMINESCENT FACIAL SERUM
Ingredients Include:
Rosehip Oil - Rich in vitamin A with small enough molecules to penetrate skin deeply while exfoliating and boosting new collagen formation.
Meadowfoam Oil - An antioxidant rich oil that helps skin form a natural barrier to prevent moisture loss as well as a carrier oil that lengthens the life of less stable oils.
Jojoba oil - Extracted from a flowering plant native to the southwestern region of North America and Mexico, jojoba oil’s chemical architecture is extraordinarily similar to the sebum our skin naturally produces to stay moisturized. Without clogging pores, this natural emollient softens and moisturizes skin while its antibacterial properties battle toxins and free radicals that your pores tend to trap.
Evening Primrose Oil - Oil from the seed of the Evening Primrose plant treats skin disorders such as eczema and acne while enhancing radiance and reducing roughness and skin irritation.
Vitamin E - A crucial antioxidant with skin-brightening benefits.
Sea Buckthorn - A source of omega 3 fatty acids that fights inflammation, improves microcirculation in eyes, brain, and skin, and promotes tissue healing and elasticity.
Rose Absolute - An essential oil with therapeutic properties, including antidepressant, antiseptic, astringent, and calmative, that also promotes good bacteria production.
Carrot Seed Oil - Rich in beta carotene, vitamins A and E and pro-vitamin A, carrot seed oil helps to heal dry, chapped and cracked skin. And as a bonus, it reduces wrinkles!
How to use:
Prep your skin with your favorite cleanser to remove excess dirt and oil. Pat dry. Apply a couple drops of Among the Flowers Luminescent Facial Serum to cheeks and massage over entire face avoiding the eye area. Finish with your favorite moisturizer to lock in those essential oils.
*Since serums are highly concentrated, we recommend mixing a bit of moisturizer with your serum for a more delicate dilution if you have sensitive skin.
*As Among the Flowers avoids water and oil combination formulas since they create a perfect breeding ground for unwanted bacteria (and are generally only used for texture based marketing), preservation is necessary to maintain longevity of their products. Refrigeration is suggested.
In the words of Among the Flowers founder, “Just a few drops of this serum is enough to hydrate, replenish cells, regulate oil levels, and leave your skin so smooth and soft. It's therapy, really.”
